Why we used the ingredients in this oil:
Clove oil contains the active ingredient eugenol, a natural anesthetic. It is used to help numb and reduce pain to ease a toothache, and has natural anti-inflammatory properties and may reduce swelling and irritation in the affected area. Spilanthes also helps numb the area. Cinnamon is also included as a natural anesthetic. Myrrh may be supportive with inflammation and the killing of bacteria. Oregano is used as a powerful antioxidant known to contain anti-inflammatory properties to support reduction of bacterial and fungal infections. A study noted in the Indian Journal of Dental Research (2009) showed that Sesame oil had a positive effect on oral health and helped reduce plaque build-up, improved gum health scores, and also led to lower counts of harmful bacteria.
