Description
It is not always easy to find herbal teas that are safely taken when pregnant. We’ve got you covered with this nutrient rich, mild tea you can enjoy any time of day of evening. The herbs in this blend are included to support your intake of iron and calcium. It also includes many trace minerals and other vitamins that your body needs during this time.
Caution: It is recommended that all herbs are avoided in the first trimester of pregnancy. This tea can be safely taken from the second trimester right up to delivery.
Directions: Bring water to a boil in stainless steel, glass, or ceramic vessel (not aluminum). Turn off heat. Place 1 teaspoon loose tea per 8 oz. (cup) water into hot water vessel or into enclosed reusable organic cotton tea bag, pulling strings tight. Steep for 3 – 5 minutes. Remove tea bag & squeeze well, or strain loose tea if you did not use the tea bag. Pour and enjoy! Add honey and/or lemon, and/or cream, if desired.
Note: For informational purposes only. Not FDA approved. Always consult with your health care provider before taking any herbs, especially if pregnant, nursing, or taking prescription medications for a condition. Not intended to treat, cure, diagnose, or mitigate any condition or illness. Not for use during first trimester of pregnancy or children under two years of age. It’s best to consult your child’s pediatrician before offering any herbal teas — regardless of whether they’re labeled as suitable for children. Remember, there are many herbs that may be safe for toddlers in small amounts, but there aren’t a lot of studies regarding many of their potential benefits and risks. Do not give children caffeinated tea.
