Description
When we first made this repellent several years ago, we were headed for the big island of Hawaii to stay at our friends house right on the ocean. Her house just happened to be next to the first beach that was closed due to Dengue fever! We left our remaining repellent with the locals, and were encouraged to make it one of our standard products… so here it is!
Choose from a roll-on applicator bottle or a spray.
(We prefer the roll on applicator, as we can avoid getting spray on clothing, and apply it directly to the area needed.) Also see our 1 oz. Bug Be Gone! Balm, which is more of a solid, salve base.
Directions: Always Shake Well! Oils and liquids need to mix well for best results. For roll-on applicator, simply shake well before each application, and rub onto clean skin, spreading repellent on exposed areas as desired. If using a spray applicator, shake well before applying, hold spray approximately 5 inches from skin and spray generously. Rub in to spread around if needed. To apply to face, place small amount of repellent on to clean hands first and then apply to clean face with hands. Wash hands after applications.
For topical use only. Keep away from eyes, children and pets. Avoid spraying on clothing as oils can stain or discolor. Always try topical products on test area prior to full use. You never know when you might have an allergic reaction to herbs or essential oils, until you have one! Discontinue use if irritation or rash appears, and wash area with soap and water.
