2 oz bag (30 cups).
Reusable cotton tea bag, or 30 individual disposable tea bags, in every package!
Tea leaves need room to expand for extracting maximum medicinal properties and full-bodied flavor. This is one reason we use organic cotton tea bags instead of tea balls which are not really best for loose leaf tea brewing. Many standard tea bags are low-flow, small, and require stirring and dunking repeatedly to get the tea to diffuse properly. We believe you get more flavor, more of the herb’s goodness, & more aroma when using our larger reusable tea bag.
Still not convinced? Choose the 30 individual natural compostable tea bags option when ordering. These drawstring tea filters/bags made from wood pulp and heat sealing fiber and are 100% biodegradable and organic. Simply spoon your loose leaf tea into the tea bag, pull the drawstring tight to close the bag, and place it in your mug and add hot water. It’ll keep the tea in the filter, the water in your cup, and the smile on your face. Dispose of in your compost after use.
Of course, we prefer loose tea in the hot water, then pouring through a strainer!
Directions for 1 cup of tea:
Bring 8 oz water to a boil in non-aluminum vessel. Turn off heat. Place one teaspoon loose tea into boiled water, or into enclosed reusable tea bag, pulling strings tight. Let steep for 10 – 15 minutes. Strain loose tea, or squeeze & remove tea bag, before pouring. Compost used herbs from bag. Wash and dry bag for re-use. Sweeten with organic honey if desired.
Drinking 1 cup a day, (morning or afternoon), is recommended for 14 days. Pause for a week before resuming schedule for the remaining 14 days. Not for use during pregnancy or lactation.
