Description
This salve is a must have in my own first aid kit. It lives in my travel kit, as well as in my medicine cabinet. (Not to be confused with the Two Feathers Black Salve used for cancer and to pull tumors out, which contains enzymes and other ingredients.)
Directions: For topical use. Wash area of skin to be covered and apply to desired area. Place a band-aid or gauze over it for 12 hours, or until desired affect is achieved. Can re-apply as needed. Splinters may take 24 hours to emerge from skin.
Bentonite clay contains negatively charged minerals which help draw out oil and bacteria from the skin.
Researchers have reported that Activated charcoal can help draw microparticles, such as dirt, dust, chemicals, toxins, and bacteria, to the surface of the skin, to make removing them easier. Globally, different traditional medicine practitioners use activated charcoal powder to treat skin infections.
Pine resin has been used for centuries in situations related to infections, joint inflammation, burns, sores, blisters and so on. Its properties include antiseptic, antibacterial and astringent.
Calendula is supportive in the healing of wounds.
Plantain is supportive in skin regeneration, and reducing the chance of scarring. It also has has germicidal, and drawing capabilities.
Chickweed is commonly used in a salve for cleaning wounds, bug bites, itchy skin conditions, hot rashes, and diaper rash.
Essential oils of Tea Tree and Lavender contribute additional antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, antiviral properties.
Vitamin E is well known for it’s antioxidant properties and ability to help heal wounds and lessen scaring.
