Broad Spectrum Cannabidiol (CBD) from the Industrial Hemp plant (non-psychoactive, THC free!).
CBD (Cannabidiol) is not just for humans. Our CBD is derived from industrial hemp and is non-psychoactive, meaning you or you pet will not experience the physiological “high” that comes with eating or smoking cannabis that contains THC (tetrahydrocannabinol).
Below is a general guideline only. Talk with your veterinarian before using any herbal products.
It is best to drop the CBD directly on your pet’s tongue or in the mouth, as it is with people, so it is absorbed through the mucous membranes, rather than travel through the stomach and liver before entering the blood stream. Applying it to food may not deliver the full dosage you’re intending
The basic dosing rule for cats and dogs: 1–5 mg CBD for every 10 pounds of body weight. There is a graduated marked dropper in the bottle to use for measurement. Recommendations are to begin with the lowest end of guideline and note your pet’s behavior. If the desired improvement is not reached, increase the dosage by a very small amount, perhaps 1/4 more than original dose. Observe again for a few days.. When you notice the improvement you desire, stay with that amount. It’s best to keep a journal daily so you can best determine the optimum dosage.
Studies have shown that broad or full spectrum Cannabidiol distillate, rather than an isolate, is the most effective.
