Broad Spectrum Cannabidiol (CBD) from the Industrial Hemp plant (non-psychoactive, THC free!).
CBD (Cannabidiol) is not just for humans. Our CBD is derived from industrial hemp and is non-psychoactive, meaning you or you pet will not experience the physiological “high” that comes with eating or smoking cannabis that contains THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). Check with your veterinarian, as CBD is often recommended as a complementary treatment.
Below is a general guideline only. Talk with your veterinarian before using any herbal products for your animals.
It is best to drop the CBD directly in the mouth, as it is with people, so it is absorbed through the mucous membranes, rather than having to travel through the stomach and liver before entering the blood stream. Likewise, applying it to food may not deliver the full dosage you’re intending, and the results are slower, and could possibly stay in the system longer.
The basic starting or “general maintenance” dose for dogs: 1–5mg CBD for every 10 pounds of body weight. A common starting point for cats is 1-2.5mg per 10 pounds. Observe your pet’s reaction when starting your pet on CBD, and the results, before increasing the dosage. Once or twice a day for maintenance is fine. Start small, as you can always increase the dose but you can’t tell if the dose you are using is sufficient, or is too much, when starting out with a high dose.
If you find the desired results are not met, or there is an acute condition, you can increase the dose. The “standard” dose for dogs is 5-10mg of CBD per 10 pounds of body weight, and for cats it is 2.5-5mg per 10 pounds. This dosage is typically adequate for a wide range of conditions, such as anxiety, moderate pain, depression, and so on. Acute symptoms, including anxiety and pain, may require a higher, and more frequent dose, until symptoms subside. Once symptoms improve the frequency and dosage can return to a “maintenance” dose.
There may be times when a stronger dose is required. A “strong” dose for dogs is 10-20mg of CBD per 10 pounds of body weight, and for cats it is 5-10mg per 10 pounds. Always monitor your pet while administering this dose and consult with your veterinarian to ensure safety, especially when taking prescription medications for pain and other conditions.
There is a graduated marked dropper in the bottle to use for measurement. It’s best to keep a journal so you can best determine the optimum dosage.
Studies have shown that broad or full spectrum Cannabidiol (CBD) distillate, rather than an isolate, is the most effective, however, if you’re CBD contains THC, consult your veterinarian first. Many animals can tolerate very low doses well, but the amount of THC should absolutbe a consideration with dosage. We do not include ANY THC in our CBD oil.

Not intended to diagnose, cure, mitigate, treat, or prevent any disease or condition.
