Why did we add different ingredients in our Ageless Chiffon Body Whip for seniors other than our regular Chiffon Body Whip?
We’ve added extra butters, pomegranate oil, and different essential oils, all because they better support aging skin:
Murumuru butter (Astrocaryum murumuru) is high in lauric acid and myristic acid, which contain antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Applied topically, these fats can help restore your skin’s moisture barrier. It contains vitamins A and E, helping to boost collagen production thus reducing inflammation and leading to less wrinkles and lines, and offering protection from oxidative stress and UV radiation, while supporting slow aging.
Mango butter (Mangifera Indica) is rich in fatty acids and contains antioxidants, minerals, and an abundance of vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin A, folates, and copper. Nutrients like omega-6 and 9 fatty acids are known for their softening properties. Helping to preserve the skin’s natural moisture barrier, and enhance the penetration of other ingredients, this skin conditioning agent reduces the greasy feeling of the product, making mango butter a welcome anti-aging ingredient.
Pomegranate oil is included for its potential to reduce the oxidative stress that leads to free radicals, and support in reducing inflammation, photo-aging or sunspots, and skin cancer cells.
Frankincense essential oil is added as it may help reduce or prevent the appearance of sunspots and wrinkles and help generate new skin cells.
Lavender essential oil is added to help with oxidative stress from free radicals which can damage the skin and help sooth stressed, dull-looking skin.
For use daily, preferably after bathing or showering, while skin is still moist and pores are open. Always apply with clean, dry hands, preventing water from entering the container, as this is a preservative free product and water will invite bacteria.
A little will go a long way!
As the saying goes, “beauty comes from within”…and it is especially true when it comes to our skin! Eating a healthy diet with plenty of fresh greens, low sugar, getting plenty of rest, stress relief meditation, and exercise each day will go a long way to contributing to a healthy complexion.
