Meet the organic ingredients:
Note: We encourage you to research these ingredients, as we are prohibited from citing any information pertaining to any benefits that have not been evaluated/approved by the FDA.
Carrot seed essential oil (Daucus carota L.): Rich in carotene and vitamin A, both of which are antioxidants.
Geranium essential oil (Pelargonium graveolens): This lovely essential oil is often found in natural skin creams.
Lavender essential oil (Lavendula angustifolia): Quite possibly the most well known, well used essential oil in the bunch–and for good reason!
Ylang Ylang essential oil (Cananga odorata): This intoxicating smelling essential oil is one of my favorites for skin products.
Rose Hip Seed Oil (Rosa rubiginosa): Rosehip oil is harvested from the seeds of rose bushes, and is full of vitamins, antioxidants and essential fatty acids. It contains beta carotene (vit. A) vitamin C, and vitamin E, all of which are antioxidants that help fight free radicals.
Tamanu Oil (Calophyllum inophyllum seed oil): A important ingredient when making quality skin products.
Sea Buckthorn Oil (Hippophae rhamnoides): Sea Buckthorn contains vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, C, and other active ingredients.
Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia chinensis): The oil is derived from the nut of the jojoba plant. Jojoba oil is gentle enough to be used alone or as a carrier oil to mix with other ingredients and essential oils. It is a humectant oil that protects skin with a moisture barrier, locking in moisture. It contains natural forms of vitamin E which works as an antioxidant, thus making it useful for skin exposed to environmental pollutants and toxins. Jojoba oil is hypoallergenic and is noncomedogenic, meaning it doesn’t clog pores.
Apricot Kernal Oil (Prunus armeniaca ): This oil contains high fatty acids, Vitamin E and A which can be used to moisturize and nourish dry and mature skin. It contains oleic, linoleic, linolenic acids, and vitamins E and C.
Aloe Vera Gel: This wonderful, well known plant contains potent antioxidants which can assist with sunburned skin. It offers a moisturizing effect without the greasy feeling.
Vegetable Lecithin (derived from soy): We use certified organic liquid Lecithin made from organic soybeans. It is produced using a unique process which does not utilize solvent or alcohol extraction. It is used as an emulsifier, thickener, stabilizer, mild preservative, moisturizer, and emollient. It is a alternative to other emulsifying and stabilizing agents, some of which are derived from petrochemical sources.
Vitamin E*: We use natural Vitamin E oil obtained by vacuum distillation of vegetable fats derived from non-GMO soy sources. It acts as an anti-oxidant in creams, lotions, baby products, cosmetics and more. This particular Vitamin E oil has been verified and tested non-GMO from crop to finished material. Vitamin E that is derived from Soybean oil gives a composition rich in delta and gamma tocopherols, which is a natural choice for antioxidant function. (*Non GMO, not “organic”.)
Beeswax: We use organic beeswax. When applied to the skin, beeswax forms a protective barrier that helps protect it from environmental assaults, while holding in moisture and reducing dryness. Unlike ingredients made from petroleum, beeswax doesn’t “suffocate” the skin and won’t clog pores.
We strive to bring you the highest quality organic ingredients…because you, the Earth, and all who come in contact with the ingredients deserve it!
